Ok. I’ve broken one of my rules. Today’s picture wasn’t taken today, although it was recently scanned. This photo was taken last summer at a friend’s ski chalet in Craigleith near Collingwood, Ontario. I don’t know what species of the plant, but I was drawn to the way the light fell on it and how the narrow depth of field helped it “pop” from the background. Nothing like an “Instagram” filter was applied. The dust and the scratches are real, however, the toning was manually applied in Lightroom. [Taken with a Hasselblad 500c/m and 80mm f2.8 on Kodak T-Max 100 developed in Ilfotec DD-X. Scanned on an Epson V-700.]
