It has been a while since I’ve posted to this blog, so why not start again a post of my dear friend’s daughter’s wedding.
It was a small, but very beautiful wedding. The bride was stunning and the groom was dashing. The venue was outdoors in a Muskoka, Ontario resort on Remembrance Day. The weather was somewhat unseasonably mild, but perfect for a late-fall outdoor event. The cloudy day made for great lighting conditions.
I brought one camera and one lens using a Leica M and a Voightlander 35mm f2 Apo-Lanthar. The non-Leica (oh no!) lens will likely become the workhorse replacing my 1970’s vintage, but loved, Summicron. The latter’s small size is made for the venerable Leica M family, but the version I have is very prone to flare. Anyhow, the Voightlander has proven itself so far, and I look forward to producing many fine photos with it over the years.
