One of the pleasant surprises we discovered was the Century Room at the Congress Hotel in downtown Tucson.
This is a photography blog, so maybe I should comment on some of the technical details. The lighting was great for a concert, not great for photography. The lighting color was mixed: purple, yellow, orange – not great. So I converted the images to black and white. Secondly, the light levels were low and very contrasty. Played with the highlight and shadow sliders with varying degrees of success (or near-failure.) As I was using a Fujifilm X-T5 with an 40MP APS-C sensor, the images were quite noisy. However, Adobe Lightrooms new AI noise reduction denoise did the trick. All-in-all, tough shooting situation, but a fantastic listening experience.
