Today was a film day and I hadn’t developed anything from today, so I reached into the archives. Like the image on Day 9, I took this photo last summer.
Last summer, I wanted to shoot film again and I had some years-old colour and black and white 120 rolls sitting around. This was from one of the rolls of TMAX 100 in my possession that I shot last at a friend’s cottage.
I’m not sure how I handled this film. I developed it in a steel tank in also years-old Ilford Ilfotec DD-X. Before scaning, I didn’t dust the negs very well and the scratches are unfortunately all too real. Nonetheless, I still like the feel of the image, however, I don’t like this feel enough to be as careless handling subsequent film.
I love using the larger format films again. It’s almost magical.
