Shooting around the garden, I took a somewhat easy way out with the short telephoto shot wide open. Bokeh has been “all the rage” for about 10 years now. It’s over used, and in these images, I admit to doing it. I found that it’s easy to use shallow depth-of-field to ignore composition. Why change an angle or perspective or just move when it is so easy to blow out a background by throwing it out of focus?

I’ll return to these same subjects another time, but instead use extended depth-of-field and see if I can create something interesting.
