I made these photos last summer. I took pictures today, but I shot them on film and I’ll be processing them tomorrow, so today I post these pictures.

My youngest daughter and I went for a walk on Locke St in Hamilton. Like many streets I’ve visited in Hamilton, it has a unique character that is a combination of a more well-to-do past, a not-too-long-ago decline, and a recent gentrification. There are abandoned, empty store fronts mixed with newly opened cafes, restaurants and pubs, and retail. These photos were taken on my first rolls of Rollei Retro 400S, a contrasty film similar in characteristics to films of old. I processed them in Ilford DD-X (I think my caption states the developer incorrectly.)
